Patricia asked ...
I have a huge question. I am a nurse and right now I am watching as one of my residents is slowly dying of bone cancer. I know most certainly that she is not a christian and I don't think she really cares. I am not sure how to even bring up the topic. She is not a position where I can envite her to church. I am worried that when the time comes, she will go to Hell. Have you got any ideas?

This is a tough position to be in. I am praying for you! You need to simply ask what her relationship is with the Lord. You can do that in several different ways ... such as ... "Alice, you know you are dying. Let me ask you something, where do you think you are going to go when you die?" The inviting to church thing is not an issue at this time. Her relationship with Christ is!
Jim makes a great point. It is not about church; it is about relationship.
There are several things you can do. Being a witness by your actions will speak loudly. Asking her if you can pray with her is another. Reading the Bible or a Devotional to her may open a door for you.
Just your asking for help shows that you have a humble heart for the lost. We need more like you to not be afraid to reach out to others.
